The Schola Cantorum Budapestiensis (SchCB) was founded in 1984. Since 1996/97 it has been working in the Deák Diák Primary School, the artisctic directors are employed by the Budapest-Józsefváros Music School, the instrumental education are assured to the children by this institution, too. The artistic directors (János Mezei and Tamás Bubnó) and their colleagues (Borcsi Veres, Szabina Babett Csonka, Éva Nemessányi, Csaba Kocsis, Domonkos Farkas) follow Anna Pauk’s singing method whilst working with the children in helping them to complete their singing tasks. Both group tuition and individual lesson are given. The Repertoire of SchCB includes a wide selection of music from medieval plainchant, and many works ranging from Renaissance and Baroque church music to contemporary Hungarian church music. The SchCB provides regular liturgical services in different places in Budapest, including the Main Parish Church in the Downtown and the St.Theresa Parish Church. In addition, the SchCB is an active participant in Hungarian and international concert life. It also gives concerts in Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic, Switzerland, Spain and Ukraine. 1999 they founded and since then organized in every year the Magna Domine Hungariae International Church Music Festival in Budapest.
